"Vikings" season 5 will show the Lothbrock brothers in their downfall following the repay for Ragnar's loss. The latest trailer for the forthcoming season mocks the fight between Bjorn, Ivar, Ubbe and Hvitserk.

Bishop Heahmund is expected to get on the platform to oppose the brothers. The union of Lothbrock brothers for avenging their father in the season 4 finale was fairly cut short.

The sons of Ragnar won the war in Wessex, but had a dispute regarding their next move. Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) suggests returning to the Mediterranean, while Ivar (Alex Hogh Anderson) preferred to assault and attack new areas. Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith), Hvitserk (Marco Islo), and Sigurd (David Lindström) had their decision as one. They desire to respect their father's request to put up an agricultural community in Wessex.

Their argument heightened, Iva being out of his mind axed Sigurd directly in the chest causing his instant death. The series creator, Michael Hirst teases the highlights in "Viking" season 5, which was previously reported to arrive this February.

Ivar would regret killing Sigurd, Hirst revealed in an interview with TV Line. He detailed the initial scene in "Vikings" season 5, episode 1. Ivar is grieving over the death of Sigurd.

"Ivar is weeping and saying it wasn't his fault, that Sigurd had pushed him, that he loved him; he was his brother," Hirst said. He repents for what happened and can't do anything about it.

The death of Sigurd only implies their fragile union and Ivar's insanity. Furthermore, Hirst disclosed that Ivar will pursue in leading the army, while his two brothers would strive to continue Ragnar's dream.

The Lothbrock brothers will face off the Great Heathen Army and there are two kingdoms that have nearly dropped to the Vikings. That's just the beginning of "Vikings" season 5, Hirst shared to Entertainment Weekly.

The personalities of Ivar are being dangerous and mad. His delicate bone illness turned him quick-tempered. He is highly sensitive man. The feud between the Lothbrock brothers would later "end up in a world war," Hirst added.
