Scarlett Johansson Talks About Marriage And Claims Monogamy Isn’t Natural!

Scarlett Johansson has opened up about marriage and being a mother. She thinks that monogamy isn't natural and requires a lot of work. The actress talked about her life and views on marriage after her split with husband last summer.
The "Ghost in The Shell" actress had quietly split from husband Roman Dauriac. She has shared her personal views of marriage in the March-April 2017 edition of Playboy magazine. The interview was conducted before the news of her split became public in January.
"I think the idea of marriage is very romantic; it's a beautiful idea, and the practice of it can be a very beautiful thing," she says. "I don't think it's natural to be a monogamous person. I might be skewered for that, but I think it's work. It's a lot of work", claimed Johansson.
The 32 year old actress also said that the fact marriage is a work itself proves it isn't a natural thing People reported. She even said that she has a lot of respect for marriage and has even participated in it. However, she feels that one needs to look beyond it.
The "Lucy" actress also claimed to understand the weight of marriage in the fact that it is a legally binding contract. According to Johansson being married and not being married is a different thing. She feels being married is a beautiful responsibility, but it is a responsibility.
Scarlett Johansson was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds, but they divorced after three years. Johansson was last married to Dauriac and the couple has a two year old daughter Rose Dorothy. As per Entertainment Tonight, the actress claimed her marriage and being a mother was a different feeling . It was a transition for both Dauriac and her.
Interestingly, as long as they have been together, the couple split their time between New York and Paris. She recognized that the nomadic nature of the industry often becomes hard on family, kids and relationships. The actress also spoke about the challenges of being a working mother and revealed being a mother helped her feel being herself.
