A new iPad Pro model with a 10.5-inch display will be released few weeks or months hereafter. Its size is between the current 9.7-inch iPad Pro and its wider 12.9-inch sibling.

The alleged 10.5-inch iPad Pro of Apple is expected to arrive with a higher resolution of 2,224×1,668 pixels. However, it still features a similar pixel density as the current 9.7-inch iPad Pro at 2,048×1,536, Rhoda Alexander, IHS Markit director of tablets and PCs said.

According to Forbes, the glamor of the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro is its size, which is the same as the 9.7-inch iPad Pro due to a smaller bezel. Users will experience a unit that’s the same physical size as the 9.7 inch, Alexander added. That design is doing great for Apple because the accessories like the Smart Keyboard can be utilized with 10.5-inch iPad Pro, she explained.

"I think this is a good move because the 9.7-inch display is very small, and the casing size on the 12.9-inch is too big." Raymond Soneira, a display expert, and president of DisplayMate Technologies wrote in an email.

Back to Alexander, she allegedly assumes that the 10.5-inch iPad Pro will arrive between March and April. It may debut alongside Apple's speculated March event.

Japanese blog Mac Otakara, on the other hand, said that Apple would launch four brand new iPad Pro versions during the March event. It was also mentioned in the writings that the 10.5-inch iPad Pro variant may not ship until May.

In addition, the new 7.9-inch, 9.7-inch, and 12.9-inch models were stated to arrive in March. The 10.5-inch iPad Pro might not show up until May to June, as per some reports.

Furthermore, Alexander also mentioned Apple's speculated that 10.5-inch iPad Pro, could start at $299, Mac Rumors reported. It is less $100 from the price of iPad Air 2.

The 10.5-inch iPad Pro could replace the iPad mini 4, which may not be updated as per Alexander. The cheap model could contain an older A9X chip, Ming-Chi Kuo, KGI Securities analyst said. Read also Microsoft Surface Phone here.
