The hinge is intended for the Porsche Design Book One to rotate 360 degrees and to be separated from its keyboard base completely. The device will be launched in the United States this April with a price of $2,495 (about £2,004, AU$3,250).

The Porsche Design Book One is going to run with Intel’s newest Core i7-7500U (Kaby Lake) processor at 3.5GHz. It’s supported by 16GB of RAM and 512GB of Intel-brand, PCIe solid-state storage. Its 13.3-inch QHD+ (3,200 x 1,800) touch display has inter-plane switching (IPS) for wider viewing angles. Porsche will introduce a totally current system in terms of substance and style.

The Porsche Design Book One will be having also  two USB-C ports, two more standard USB 3.0 ports, one Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port. It will sport a 5MP infrared webcam for Windows Hello login through Windows 10 Pro.

According to The Verge, the Porsche Design Book One will support a digital stylus that attaches magnetically to the right side of the device. The notebook’s hardware was possibly accomplished by Quanta, which is a company that also helped in the making of Amazon’s Fire tablets.

The major difference between the Porsche Design Book One and a Surface Book is obviously the hinge. Both the Surface Book and the Book One’s screen are detachable. However, the latter can also be rotated at 360 degrees.
