The "Pokemon Go" Gen 2 characters such as Lugia, Ho-Oh, Raikou, Entei, Suicune and Celebi are likely to arrive this 2017. Legendary Pokemon players could also expect the coming of Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Mewtwo and Mew of Gen 1 after long-run speculations.

According to Forbes, "Pokemon Go" is a worldwide game with millions of players. As a result, the total intensity of trying to set up various Legendary spawn events around the world is seemingly difficult. This is the reason why “Pokemon Go” Gen 1 characters’ are until now didn’t yet arrive or released in one of the game’s live Legendary events.

“Pokemon Go” Gen 2 characters seem easier to implement as compared to Gen 1’s. The animation job for 85 Pokemon is hard but releasing them in the game for players to catch is pretty much great. This is because the gamers are like capturing the other 140 as well. There might only a few minor changes in capturing mechanics that are needed to be fixed.

The news outlet also claimed that these "Pokemon Go" characters are confirmed to show up within 2017. At the same time, the game's creator desires to conduct live large scale "Pokemon Go" events.

On the other hand, Anime News Network reported that "Pokemon Go" is currently conducting a Snorlax Event in Kumamoto, Japan. With this, Snorlax added spawns in all of Kumamoto Prefecture and Yufu, Oita and Beppu, Oita. The event is to help renew the places ruined by the Kumamoto earthquakes last April.

“Pokemon Go" players in that country can now hold higher chances of spawning Snorlax. Moreover, catching the giant characters doesn’t even require the use of Poke Flutes in waking them up. "Pokemon Go" Snorlax event began on March 4 and will end on March 13.

Legendary Pokemon would be unleashed in the next few months as per a recent report. Niantic delayed its launching since Spring and Summer are the time when most players go out and catch. The exact release date is not yet confirmed.
