A woman in labor is facing charges after police in New Hampshire says that the woman demanded her friend to inject her with heroin and methamphetamine before firefighter arrived at their home. She was reported to deliver a baby boy while entering an ambulance.

The incident happened six months ago, back in September but just this week the police in Concord arrested Felicia Farruggia, 29, a woman in labor with his son at that time. While Rhianna Frenette, 37, of Belmont is also arrested, according to the investigators she is the one who gave Faruggia heroin and methamphetamine. The Police explained that the reason why this case took so long is that they are looking for witnesses that will cooperate and wait for the toxicology reports.

She and her newborn son were rushed to the nearest hospital in Concord and admitted for several days. According to Lieutenant Sean Ford, "No one died, but the risk to that child and to the mother. ... This stuff is just getting out of control," US News reported. Farruggia, the woman in labor at that time said that her friend, Frenette tried to inject her heroin and methamphetamine by using an unsanitary syringe to ease the pain.

In the record of an affidavit, as the woman in labor [Farruggia] started having a contradiction, she went to the bathroom and lay on the floor and asked her friend for it. However, Frenette explained to the police that it is Farrugia who is trying to inject herself with heroin and methamphetamine.

As of this moment, the woman in labor and her friend were both charged with the reckless conduct of using heroin and methamphetamine. Both of them faced criminal records back in 2005. Farrugia has been accused of "guardianship of a minor" cases. While her son is in the state of custody, CBS Boston reported.
