Apple made an announcement Tuesday morning, March 21 that a brand new 9.7-inch version will replace the old iPad Air 2. This new and most-anticipated tablet will be simply called iPad, which means iPad Air 2 officially bids goodbye.

According to CNET, the new iPad will feature a faster processor than the iPad Air 2. Its 32GB variant has a rate of $329, £339 or AU$469. On the other hand, the 32GB model with 4G LTE will be priced at $459, £469 or AU$669.

The new Apple's iPad is the cheapest tablet of its updated lineup gaining $70 off from the existing iPad Air 2's price. It contained an elevated speed from the 2015-era A9 processor (replacing the Air 2's 8X). The latest tablet is identical to the iPad Air 2 that was released in 2014 except for its non-reflective surface.

The iPad of Apple tops the tablet market, but it still falling. The majority of people who want tablets already bought their own and not all of them need to replace it often.

As a result, Apple made numerous efforts to develop the tablet market, including the launching of the larger iPad Pro in November 2015. It was supposed to be the company's latest flagship tablet that it even incorporated potentials of Pencil stylus and keyboard accessory.

However, the device didn't meet users' excitement as a substitute for laptops. Apple tried again its luck in releasing a smaller iPad Pro with 9.7-inch display in 2016, but it also slowed down tablet sales.

Meanwhile, excited buyers could pre-order the 9.7-inch iPad from 24 March, PC Advisor reported. The new tablet will go on sale in Apple stores the soonest, which means probably on March 27 or late as March 31.

iPad is expected to level up its lineup sales once arrive in the market. This successor of the iPad Air 2 is an improved device of its ancestors.
