"Grey's Anatomy" star Camilla Luddington says that Katherine Heigl's Izzie can be a good storyline for the upcoming season 12.

At Comic-Con, Luddington told TVLine's Michael Ausiello in an interview that she was nervous for "Grey's Anatomy" season 12.

"I just don't trust things are going to continue to go well," she said, referring to Jo and Alex's relationship that has been going well and steady for the past couple of seasons.

Since Alex previously dated Izzie, the character played by Katherine Heigl, Luddington said that her return "would be nuts" for the story and added that she's "not against it."

As for Heigl's return as Dr. Isobel Stevens in the medical drama, The Huffington Post reported that the actress could not answer the rumors.

"You know, I think that, uh ... I don't know how to answer that. I'm sorry," she said referring to her rumored reappearance.

Heigl commented about Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd's death on the last season.

"I just can't imagine the show without McDreamy," she exclaimed. "It's just so hard to picture."

Heigl starred in "Grey's Anatomy" from Season 1 to 6 but left in 2010 because of differences with showrunner Shonda Rhimes.

Rhimes recently took a shot at Heigl in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter regarding her other show "Scandal."

"There are no Heigls in this situation," she said, referring to her show deadlines. She adds that she doesn't have time for "nasty people" or their "bullshit." According to Daily Mail, the comment was made in reference to Heigl's exit from "Grey's Anatomy."

Heigl deeply regretted her skirmish with former boss Rhimes. In an interview with Mario Lopez in Extra, the actress said she was sorry for the negative impression she left and that she's a big fan of Rhimes' work. She even admitted that she watches "Scandal" every week. She added that she hopes to someday change this impression.

Meanwhile, the political drama produced by Heigl, "State of Affairs," has been canceled by NBC just after one season, according to Deadline. In the show, Heigl played the role of CIA analyst Charleston Tucker. The show was cut down after it failed to reach satisfactory ratings. According to the Daily Mail, the show had 8.7 million viewers during its show premiere but at the finale, it decreased to almost half at 4.47. Heigl even made a petition to save the show for season 2, but it didn't make the cut.
