After the leaked photos of the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra has surfaced on the Internet, speculations and rumors have kept the mobile and gadget junkies buzzing with excitement. With a possibility of a 5.5" 1080p bezel-free display, it looks like another promising smartphone will be released by the brand. Furthermore, a very detailed photo of the Xperia C5 Ultra has been released, not by the brand but by the Sao Paulo Police Department (SPPD).

According to GSM Arena, the SPPD has recovered the phone after it was stolen within a Brazilian certification agency and has been advertized on Facebook for a bidding. The police has been able to retrieve the unit and apparently, instead of returning the prototype directly to Sony or the certification agency, they have published a report together with a press photo.

Phone Arena adds that Antel, the certification company where the unit was stolen, states that the smartphone will cost around $893 when it hits the market. That is only enough after the prototype is reported to be worth as much as $12 million in the development alone.

Although there are no confirmations yet about the exact specifications of the Xperia C5 Ultra, it is expected to have a 64-bi octa-core processor mae by MediaTek, 2GB RAM, 5.5" inches display with 1080p resolution and a pair of 13MP back and front camera, maybe to cater for an excellent macro photography.

GMS Arena adds that the previously known as Lavender unit might be arriving anytime soon, with a teaser from Sony on Twitter.

The tweet is highly suggestive of a serious imaging quality and may come with a possible front camera flash and an extremely speedy focusing.

It looks like the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra has gotten it's much needed publicity for an Aug. 3 announcement, all thanks to the public service of the Sao Paulo Police Department.
