Selena Gomez joins the cast of "Neighbors 2" while rocking a skin-tight pink mini-dress, and her role in the sequel may be as one of the college sorority girls.

Gomez, 23, was spotted on the Atlanta set of the comedy sequel "Neighbors 2." According to Hollywood Life, the "Come & Get It" singer went straight to the set after the VMAs on Sept. 2 and was seen rocking a skintight mini-dress while coming from a sorority house. The star's all-pink feminine wardrobe consists of an ombre dress, feather earings, cute heels and a matching lip color.

The complete movie title of the sequel is "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising." According to E! Online, the original cast of the first movie will also be joining "Neighbors 2" including Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Dave Franco and Rose Byrne with Chloe Grace Moretz whose casting was announced earlier in April.

According to The Hollywood Life, Moretz will be a leader of the sorority in the sequel. She will be joined by "Dope" actress Kiersey Clemons and "Fan Girl" actress Beanie Feldstein.

In the magazine interview, Moretz revealed that her character will be "crazy."

"I can't say much, it's under wraps," she explained to the magazine. "I can say that, be on the watch because I am crazy. I am going to do some crazy stuff in that movie. It's gonna be really fun. Seth and all the boys, we're gonna... It's gonna be a little crazy."

The article by E! Online infers that if Moretz is going to play head sorority girl, Gomez might play Moretz's rival and archnemesis.

As to how the original cast members of the movie will be fitting in to the sequel, Cinema Blend reports that Zac Efron's Teddy will be back not as the antagonist but as someone who is likely going to do some sort of damage control given the new neighbors are sorority girls.

As for Mac and Kelly, played by Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne respectively, more of their life with their new daughter Stella would be hopefully revealed. The website also added that Rogen will also be producing and cowriting the script of the sequel together with Nicholas Stoller, Andrew Jay Cohen, Brendan O'Brien, and Evan Goldberg. As for former fratboy Pete, who is played by Dave Franco, hopefully we'll get to see if his character has evolved into someone more mature given that he was prone to childish pranks in the first movie as the right-hand man of Teddy.

"Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising" will be shown in theaters on May 20, 2016.
