It seems the Dark Knight will be getting multiple Batsuits while Aquaman will be getting the more traditional costume for the upcoming film "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice."
In the film, Ben Affleck, 42, is set to play Bruce Wayne/Batman, while co-star Henry Cavill will be Clark Kent/Superman. Other DC Comics superheroes in the mix are Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
As the film is nearing its release date on March 25, 2016, Movie Pilot (MP) reports that Affleck's depiction of Batman will be on point. To start, his character will be having multiple Batsuits. It is unknown how many Batsuits Wayne will be wearing in the film. The article by MP states that there are four. To start, the first suit is the original blue and grey one. The second suit will be the black and grey because the first one was battle damaged from his fight from the Mutant Leader.
As for the third suit, everyone has been talking about Desert Batsuit as they have seen it from the desert scene in the trailer. According to the report, it may have a placement for an assault rifle as the leg part of his costume looks like there is a holster.
The fourth one is the Bat Armor which is directly taken off of Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" comic book, replete with the glowing eyes and super sturdy armor which can withstand Superman's strength.
As for the Superman's suit, there have only been minor changes to it. However, during the release of the promotional pictures for the movie, Cavill looked to be more muscular and broad chested than he was in the previous movie "Man of Steel," reports Screen Rant.
As for the King of Atlantis' suit, Momoa stated in an report by Coming Soon that it may have a "bit of orange and green," suggesting that it paid homage to Aquaman's traditional costume.
"Well, there might be some bit of orange and green," Momoa said. "A bit of respect to prior work, but I think he is meaner now and upset—look at what has been done to our oceans. That's his world that has been polluted."
According to the article, Aquaman's debut appearance in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will allegedly be short before he will have his own movie, "Aquaman" on July 27, 2018.
