Samsung Galaxy S7 to Rival iPhone 6S With This Feature? Release Date, Specs & Price Details Here! [Rumors]

Rumors are now circulating that Samsung's next flagship device, the Galaxy S7, is also getting a pressure-sensitive screen, a feature that was also recently announced for the iPhone 6 by Apple. This new screen technology offers more options for users other than the usual swipe, tap and pinch.
The leak originated from a user known as I Ice Universe on Weibo. According to the Business Insider UK, the Samsung brand will not be copying Apple's technology or creating their own version of the feature.
What Samsung will be doing instead is to tap another company's technology. Earlier this month, Synaptics announced the development of ClearForce, says CNET.
Pushing, rather than tapping, on a ClearForce touchscreen, opens a menu of commonly used actions. The technology also allows users to control scrolling speed, access additional menus and offers new ways of zooming or panning over images, Express reported.
If the rumors are true, the iPhone 6 will no longer hold a monopoly on having a device with pressure-sensitive touchscreen. Daily Mail states that Samsung will be the first Android smartphone maker to have the same interface.
Although both brands are scrambling to release their first units with pressure-sensitive screens, neither one is the first in announcing the feature. According to CNET, the distinction is reserved to the Huawei Mate S which was first announced in Sept. but is not yet available to the public.
The Korean smartphone manufacturer and its flagship S-series have helped made popular features such as fingerprint readers and heart-rate monitors, says Express.
There is still no new update in terms of pricing although Realty Today speculates that prices cannot be lower than the current Galaxy S6 Edge. The estimated starting price can be anywhere within the $600-$650 range.
In a report by the Christian Post, the Samsung S7 may have three variants. One will be shipped with the Exynos "Mongoose" 8890 chipset, one with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chip while the last will have Exynos' 7422 chipset.
Express believes that users will have the option of choosing between the 5.2 inch or the 5.8 inch models. However, only the larger model will get the Edge screen.
According to iDigitalTimes, other rumored specifications for the Samsung Galaxy S7 include a built-in 3GB Ram and a 20MP ISOCELL camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 is set for release sometime in January 2016, iDigitalTimes says. This is at least a month earlier than the previously announced release of February 2016.
