Xiaomi Mi 5 Release Date Confirmed? 5 Biggest Specs, Features & Price of New Flagship [Rumors]

China's Xiaomi has released announcements for their upcoming event on Oct. 19 in Beijing to which they will use as a platform to launch their new Mi 5, according to the report by the International Business Times. Additionally, the company might also launch other products such as Mi Note 2 and Mi Edge.
The specs of the Mi 5 have already been leaked in the past. However, the phone is still considered impressive nonetheless. These are the rumored specs of Xiaomi's newest flagship smart phone:
1.) Big screen size
According to Tech Gadget Central, the Mi 5 will have a big screen size which can rival against the new Xperia Z5 from Sony and the Nexus 5X from Google. It will reportedly come in 5.2-inch Quad HD resolution with IPS LCD display with a Gorilla Glass 4 shield. The handset will have two sim card slots and one slot for the microSD. It will also have two cameras; the front camera will have an 8-megapixel camera whereas the rear will take sharp pictures at 16-megapixels.
2.) Two Mi 5 variants
There will be two Mi 5 versions with the first one having a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and the second one with a MediaTek Helio X20, according to Tech Times.
3.) Longer battery life
The Xiaomi Mi 5 will rumoredly have a battery of at least 3000 mAh which is enough power to give the phone 2 solid days of life with regular use, according to Christian Post. The Mi5 may also feature Quick Charge 2.0 or Quick Charge 3.0 depending on the chipset. Additionally it will also have an Adreno 530 GPU, 64GB internal storage with 4GB RAM. It will also reportedly come pre-installed with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS but can be upgraded to Marshmallow immediately when it becomes available.
4.) Fingerprint scanner
According to MobiPicker, the Mi 5 will be built with a "fingerprint recognition technology." The outlet adds that with the Snapdragon chip, Xiaomi's newest smart phone will have the most accurate and secure fingerprint sensing technology. According to Phone Arena, The sensor will be place directly behind the phone's display and the great thing about it is that it can recognize prints through glass, metal and plastic.
5.) Same price as Xiaomi Mi 4
Furthermore, the Mi 5 will reportedly be sold at 1,999 Yuan (at least $300), according to IB Times.
