It has been a pretty eventful past fortnight for the Kardashian family, with Lamar Odom being hospitalized for a near-fatal drug overdose that left him unresponsive in a Nevada brothel earlier this month. Khloe Kardashian has since then retracted the divorce petition and has stayed by her husband's side, opting to skip her sister Kim's birthday party, and instead attend her baby shower, Los Angeles Times reports.
The 31-year-old reality TV star reunited with her sisters and family to attend Kim's "Troop Beverly Hills" pajama-themed baby shower at their friend, Shelli Azoff's mansion, where Khloe married Odom six years ago.
Khloe broke her silence since Odom's medical emergency, writing on her website, "Thank you dolls SO much for your patience while I needed some time off. I'm excited to be back in the mix bringing you some awesome content. Your love and support has meant the world to me. XOXO, Khloe."
Khloe is also set to release a book titled Strong Looks Better Naked this coming November, where she chronicles her struggles with relationships, self-image, and weight, E! Online reports.
Meanwhile, Kardashian family friend and former 'NSYNC band member turned host Lance Bass recently opened up Odom's recovery, claiming that the athlete's life was saved thanks to Khloe and her family.
According to People, Bass hosted the 25th Environmental Media Awards, where he spoke to reporters and talked about Odom and his recovery. He said, "I was just over at Kris's house the other day, and...they put their lives on hold. I give it up to those girls. Love them or hate them, they really stepped up to the plate and saved his life."
Bass also said that the tragedy struck matriarch Kris Jenner, because "It's devastating. This is like her son and it's really sad."
As for the swift divorce retraction by Khloe, which may have not come as a surprise to most, including Bass, he said, "I think when anybody goes through some tragedy like that it's going to bring you closer, and you could always tell that she was so madly in love with him this whole time, but he had this problem."
Bass also commented that once the dust clears, secrets about the whole messy ordeal may be uncovered. Does that mean viewers will get to see Khloe confront her husband in a future episode of their reality TV series? Bass said, "I think we're really going to see what went down eventually, and I think there's going to be a lot of people in trouble."
The eleventh season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians airs on E! on Nov. 15 at 9 p.m.
