Marvel's new superhero flick "Deadpool" isn't coming until February next year, but so much buzz has already surrounded the Tim Miller-directed film because of the interestingly flawed hero.

Aside from being a former mercenary with a sense of humor, Wade Wilson A.K.A. Deadpool is a departure from the usual superhero from the last couple of decades. For one, he's the first pansexual hero to hit the big screen. The Guardian reports that according to Miller, the production did not deviate from the comics' bisexual, "hypersexualized" main man.

"Pansexual! I want that quoted," Miller told Collider about one of the first official images of Deadpool, showing him lying on his side by a fireplace. "Pansexual Deadpool."

Ryan Reynolds, who stars as Wade Wilson in the film, confirmed, "There is some sexuality in this movie for sure. You kinda think you have moments when you’re shooting where you think, 'This is, uh, a little excessive. This is a comic book movie. Are we gonna get away with this?'"

"But so far so good. Studio hasn’t crushed us with anything," the 36-year-old actor said. "We did a photo shoot for an entire day of just different, completely insane things that Deadpool is doing and there’s a lot more to come. They’ll be slowly released."

Deadpool's first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" in 2009, played by Reynolds. The actor then worked with Miller to get Fox to greenlight their Deadpool standalone film, which took quite some time.

Deadpool's wise-cracking antics will be featured in the film, which has been rated R. In talking about the character's identity, co-creator Fabian Nicieza said, "Deadpool is whatever sexual inclination his brain tells him he is in that moment. And then the moment passes."

"He is NO sex and ALL sexes. He is yours and everyone else’s," Nicieza explained to Comicbook Resources. "So not dismissive, but rather the epitome of inclusive."

Meanwhile, Reynolds took to Instagram (with complete Deadpool makeup) to encourage fans to vote for fellow Marvel star Hugh Jackman for People's Sexiest Man Alive 2015, TIME reports. The short clip was posted on Jackman's Instagram, where he tagged Reynolds in the caption.

"Good day mate! Hugh Jackman here," the actor said in his best Jackman impression. "Just reminding you to get your votes in for People's Sexiest Man Alive."
