"The Voice" coach Gwen Stefani has been opening up about her divorce from singer Gavin Rossdale, shedding light into the not-so-surprising divorce that came after numerous rumors of infidelity on Rossdale's camp. In fact, Vanity Fair reports that friction between the two may have been heightened thanks to an iCloud alert of Rossdale's communication with the family's nanny, Australian Mindy Mann, with whom he was supposedly cheating with.

According to reports, Stefani found out about Rossdale's three-year affair when she saw "explicit texts between Rossdale and the nanny—including nude photos of [the hired hand] and their plans to meet up for sex—on the family’s iPad."

Us Magazine reports that "The iPad was linked to Gavin’s phone" and that "one of the other nannies discovered the exchange and told Gwen."

Rossdale initially denied the cheating allegations but "finally confessed to the affair months later [and] the ‘Used to Love You’ singer made the decision to end their marriage."

Meanwhile, Stefani is currently dating country crooner and fellow divorcee, Blake Shelton, and opened up about her upcoming record, which she said speaks of heartbreak.

"I didn't even know the single was coming out. I promise you that it was very last-minute," Stefani told People of her latest single. "It's weird because 'Used to Love You' came out the exact same week as the 20-year anniversary of [No Doubt's] 'Tragic Kingdom,' which just to me is like, 'What are the chances of that?'"

The 46 year old multi-hyphenate also admits that "Used to Love You" was definitely inspired by her divorce from her husband, saying, "There was one night, the epicenter of the whole thing – that's the most I can say about that – and the next day I wrote the chorus to 'Used to Love You.'"

"My truth is 'Used to Love You': That's the song. That's what I said, and I feel really fine about sharing that, and I feel honored to share it," she explained.

The singer/songwriter also adds that her upcoming record is "a breakup record. Both of them were," she said of her solo albums, "Love. Angel. Music. Baby.", which was released in 2004, and "The Sweet Escape", released in 2006. "I only had two boyfriends. I wrote two records about them. You know what I mean? It's just weird."

"It just makes me believe in God and my journey," Stefani mused. " My cross to bear was to go through these heartbreaks and write these songs and help people."
