'Game of Thrones' game episode 6 launch date, gameplay & updates: 'Ice Dragon' available for PS4, Xbox One download [see details here]

The first season of Telltale's "Game of Thrones" is coming to a close with the final episode titled "The Ice Dragon" bowing on Nov. 17, Telltale confirmed today with the release of new images.

Fans and gamers will be able to download the episode for PC/Mac, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 when the game also launches for iOS and Android devices.

According to Telltale, this marks the first time that a series finale will be available across all platforms on the release date.

Gamespot reports that "The Ice Dragon" will feature the following plot: "With House Whitehill tightening its grip on Ironrath at the behest of Ramsay Bolton, the remaining Forresters must give their all to save the family, whether through diplomacy, subterfuge, or violent force. In the frozen wilds beyond The Wall, Gared learns the secrets of the mysterious North Grove, and Mira discovers that political games in a King's Landing controlled by Cersei Lannister often involve the highest stakes of all."

"Your story is about to come to an epic conclusion...What is the fate of House Forrester? When you play the Game of Thrones, you win or you die. Your choices, your story: you decide."

Hardcore Gamer reports that Telltale will also be releasing a retail version of "Game of Thrones" priced at $29.99 in North America. Gamers in Europe will be able to grab the disc-based version on November 20 for all platforms as well.

According to Playstation Lifestyle, Telltale’s Job J. Stauffer said via Twitter, "This [Game Of Thrones] finale is, in a word, EPIC. This will be YOUR finale, BOLDLY custom to each and every conflicting decision to the end."

The game series is based on the award-winning HBO television drama series, created by George R. R. Martin. According to Gamespress, the events in the game series pick up in the end of the third season of the highly followed television series, and end right before the fifth season. Gamers can enjoy visiting familiar locations such as King's Landing and The Wall, and other locations like Ironrath, the home of House Forrester.

Gamers can play from five different points of view, all of which belong to the House of Forrester. The ultimate goal of all characters is to save the House from destruction.

Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series - Episode 6: "The Ice Dragon" has been rated M (Mature) by the ESRB for Intense Violence, Blood and Gore, and Strong Language content.
