Minecraft Nintendo Wii U edition revealed: check out release info, rating & updates here

Minecraft has earned massive success since its first release back in 2009. It is now one of the best-selling PC games and video games of all time. Gaming enthusiasts were able to play the game in various platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Windows phone, Android and iOS, Windows, Linux and OS X. And now, Minecraft could also be having its debut soon in Nintendo Wii U.
As of yet, Nintendo, "Minecraft" developer Mojang and its mother company and the game's publisher, Microsoft, have not made any official announcement on the release details. Back in September 2014, tech giant Microsoft announces its acquisition of Mojang and its ownership of Minecraft for $2.5 billion.
The European ratings board PEGI, however, has already listed and rated the game, which is a good indication of its release.
"The content of this game is suitable for persons aged 7 years and over only. It contains non-realistic looking violence towards fantasy characters," according to the PEGI website. "Pictures or sounds likely to be scary to young children. Non-realistic looking violence towards characters which although human are not very detailed."
Apart from giving it a rating of "7," PEGI also noted that the release date of the game will be on Nov. 12, 2015; although, obviously, the game has not come out yet.
The sandbox adventure/survival game will still likely have its Nintendo Wii U edition but the date is still not clear yet, and Nintendo did not also make mention of it in the just recently concluded Nintendo Direct presentation.
Fans of this very popular video game were left disappointed after expecting some information to be revealed from the event. Nintendo only talked about their other upcoming products for the Nintendo 3DS and some of the games currently available and coming out to the Wii U, CinemaBlend wrote.
For now, gamers can only speculate whether there will also be some changes on the Minecraft Nintendo Wii U version, but the platform's gamepad and stylus could give the builders some interesting options in creating their worlds, the same way it was useful in the Super Mario Maker, said Wired.co.uk.
PEGI or Pan European Game Information provides rating on the age suitability of computer and video games and not the level of difficulty. These kinds of ratings are used to ensure that entertainment content, such as films, videos, DVDs, and computer games, are clearly labelled by age according to the content they contain to help guide consumers, particularly, the parents.
