Nintendo NX release date, news & update: 'Final Fantasy VII' remake supported on the latest console? [RUMORS]

Nintendo is still mum about its line of games for the Nintendo NX until sometime in 2016, but it has not stopped fans from speculating. One of these games involves a remake of 'Final Fantasy 7' on the Nintendo NX.
A recent Nintendo Direct presentation announced the arrival of "Final Fantasy's" Cloud Strife and his infamous Buster Sword on the "Super Smash Bros." game for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii. The downloadable sword-wielding protagonist from FF7 even comes with Midgar Stage, complete with the Mako reactor in the background.
According to Tech Times, Nintendo and the game's developer, Square Enix, were rumored to have had some disagreements in the past when the latter decided to go to Sony and release their popular role-playing game on the PlayStation console. Those cloudy days appear to be over with the inclusion of Cloud on Nintendo's hit game.
Nintendo has also been able to get exclusive rights to "Dragon Quest X" on the Wii U. Square Enix has also hinted that the next installment of the 'Dragon Quest' franchise will be made available on the NX console.
In August, Naoki Yoshida, game developer and director of Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy XIV, asked for more details about the upcoming console, fueling further speculations. Gaming Bolt says paired with the fact that "Final Fantasy" is no longer exclusive to the PlayStation console, it is more than likely that the Nintendo gamers will finally get their chance to play the game.
No word yet on the game's official release date but Crossmap states that it could be around 2017. The report states that Square Enix will not be simply producing a remastered version but presenting players with a fresh new perspective of the game.
For 'Final Fantasy VII', Square Enix is planning to create an entirely new battle system with new features to give the game a much-needed upgrade.
Fans of the role-playing game will be disappointed to hear that composer Nobuo Uematsu will not be on board for the remake. Uematsu is the composer behind many of the game's memorable music pieces and has produced the arrangements from Final Fantasy 7 up to Final Fantasy 11.
On Twitter, Uematsu was asked if he was taking part in the remake of the popular Final Fantasy game. "Not at all," Uematsu replied.
Crossmap says Uematsu has created distinct themes for each of the characters of the Final Fantasy series, making the characters more memorable.
