Contrary to rumors and reports that the highly anticipated "No Man's Sky" game release has been pushed back, iDigital Times reports that the Suzy Wallace produced and Gareth Bourn designed game is still on schedule, to be released come June 2016 and that the rumors are definitely untrue.

Director Sean Murray told IGN in July, "What really matters, though, the big thing for us, is that date when you actually get to play the game yourself. I know you aren’t alone in wanting that to arrive as quickly as possible."

According to the "No Man's Sky" website, the team at Hello Games has been busy promoting the game, which is still set for a June 2016 release. The team wrote, "As Sean said on the PlayStation Blog, we know the wait to June 2016 will be long for some, but every moment gives us the time to add more features and polish to our vast universe."

Murray recently visited Stephen Colbert to give the host the first look into the game's breathtaking universe and give an in-depth interview about what the game is all about.

The team behind the game wrote, "The reception to The Late Show and Paris Games Week has been overwhelming, and we want to thank you, as always, for all the support you give our small team – it means a lot!"

Meanwhile, excited gamers can check out more details from Hello Games, which released a fact sheet on the game, which reads, "No Man's Sky has been in our heads for a very long time. In fact, it has its roots in Sean Murray's experiences growing up on a ranch in the Australian outback."

"It was the true middle of nowhere, where if something went wrong you were told to just stay where you were and light a fire at an exact time every day, and hope that someone would find you," the fact sheet read. "The night sky was filled with more stars than you’ve ever seen, and we've all thought that this is exactly where video games would go, video games that contained the whole universe, and you’d be able to visit it all. No Man's Sky takes that jump - it's the game we've always wanted to make."

Hello Games promises an open universe in which gamers can explore planets and places that no one else can see before in an edgy environment that helps the gamer build an epic journey for himself. "No Man's Sky" is set for release for PlayStation 4 and PC in June 2016. To find out more, check out the trailers below.
