What to expect from 'Beyond: Two Souls', 'Heavy Rain' for PS4 [release date, gameplay, trailer]

A remaster of "Beyond: Two Souls" developed by Quantic Dream and published by Sony will be coming to PlayStation 4 next week on Nov. 24 for $29.99 via digital download through the PlayStation Store.

"Beyond: Two Souls" is a paranormal interactive adventure game released on Oct. 8, 2013, for the PS3 which starred Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe.

According to The Verge, the game has been optimized and comes in 1080p and an extra DLC called "Enhanced Experiments" chapter. The site noted that you can "play the game in chronological order" instead of the original "nonlinear narrative" after you've finished it the first time. Game Spot adds that the replay was a highly requested feature by players. The PS4 version will also have more difficult fight scenes and have optimized action controls.

The outline for "Beyond: Two Souls" is as follows, as reported by Gematsu:

"Players will have another chance to experience the story of Jodie Holmes (played, excellently, by Ellen Page), a young woman who possesses supernatural powers through her psychic link to an invisible entity. Holmes' journey is intertwined with the complex Dr. Dawkins (brought to life by the inimitable Willem Dafoe), on PS4."

Additionally, Sony will also be releasing "Heavy Rain," the game's predecessor which was released for PlayStation 3 in Feb. 18, 2010. According to Game Rant, the game will be coming to PS4 but it won't be coming out until March 2016 for North America.

There are no clear details about "Heavy Rain" as of late. It is not clear if the PS4 version will get the same treatment as its remastered sequel.

However, the site says that Sony announced in their blog: "those who purchase Beyond: Two Souls digitally will be entitled to download Heavy Rain on PS4 when it releases at a discount" The PlayStation blog also adds that attendees of the PlayStation Experience this year will be able to play the two remastered games.

The site also states that there is a physical release of Quantic Dream games for Europe. It will be packaged into: "The Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls Collection." The item will be on sale in Europe on March 2 but on March 4 for the UK. There is no news for North American release.
