Some people follow a certain diet plan suggested by fitness experts but still were not able to lose even a single pounds. In the end, they just find themselves wondering how come they were not able to achieve their dream body figure when they have faithfully followed every single advice given to them.

According to Science Daily, there is an Israeli study that claims that what is healthy for someone is not healthy for everyone. The study was led by Eran Elinav and Eran Segal from Israel's Weizmann Institute of Science.

Their study went through by keeping notes of 800 people's blood sugar levels for over a week. The study was able to conclude that metabolism differs from every person. Therefore, no matter how much people try to eat the same kind and amount of food every single day for a year, the result will be different for each and every one of them.

They gathered data through glucose monitoring, blood tests, stool samples, body measurements, health questionnaire and a mobile application. The app is mainly designed for reporting lifestyle and food intake.

EurekAlert reported that there are different factors that affect the kind and amount of food that is considered healthy for an individual. Of course, the age and the body mass index (BMI) are among the most important factors as they have something to do with a person's level of blood glucose after a meal.

Getting stool samples was done to understand why different results from different people who ate the same kind and amount of food a day come up.

According to Segal, general diet plan recommendations are not helping the people. Considering that their study has proven that different people react differently in the same diet plan means that there are diet plans that are good to some, but are not good to some.

If everyone will follow the same diet plan, others will gain weight while others will lose some pounds. There might even be some people who won't observe a single change in their weight.

To make sure that people will attain their goal efficiently and effectively, it is a must to create a personalize diet plan for each of them. The diet plan should be based on their own metabolism, age, weight, height and other contributing factors.

By doing this, everyone can achieve and maintain a healthy and fit body in the most effective way.
