There is really a Chocolate River on earth. Unfortunately, it isn't chocolate that is flowing in it. Its real name is Petitcodiac river. It is commonly referred to as chocolate river because of its chocolate-colored water.

2.) White chocolate isn't a real chocolate

How many people have been fooled that white chocolate is actually a chocolate? According to BuzzFeed, white chocolate is definitely not a chocolate! Don't be fooled by its name.

For something to be referred to as chocolate, it must be made from cocoa liquor or cocoa solid. In the case of the white chocolate, it is made of cocoa butter, which is a pale yellow vegetable fat that is extracted from cocoa. Therefore, it does not meet the standard to be called as chocolate even when it is actually named as "White Chocolate."

3.) Your favorite chocolate might have some bug.

According to ABC News, an average chocolate bar contains eight insect parts. Many people will freak out after hearing this, but there is actually no need to freak out! The guidelines of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) state that eight parts of insect per chocolate bar are deemed to be safe for consumption.

Dr. Morton M. Tech, an allergist, said that most foods usually contain natural contaminants. While eight parts per chocolate bar are safe, FDA states that a chocolate with 60 insect grams for every 100 grams will be rejected.

4.) Chocolates was used for trading before.

Don't you know that long before money was invented, cocoa bean, the primary ingredients for making chocolates, was used as money? Before, it had a higher value than gold. Cultivating cocoa beans wasn't allowed as well to protect its value from decreasing.
