Gavin Rossdale has been lying low from the public's eye after it was known that his divorce with ex-wife Gwen Stefani was allegedly caused by his affair with their three children's ex-nanny Mandy Minn.

Rossdale is apparently "trying to take the high road" and staying away from the public's eye. A source told E! Online that the 50-year-old rocker is not in contact with the ex-nanny.

"[He] has been playing a lot of tennis, has been in out of the studio, trying to focus on what makes him happy," the source told the outlet.

Meanwhile, the accused former baby sitter has been lying low as well as it is "extremely difficult for her" out in public. Mindy Mann used to babysit Rossdale and Gwen Stefani's children, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.

"She has been bombarded with media trying to get her to talk about Gavin and the kids and she isn't wanting to talk. She cares about those kids so much and out of respect for the family wants to keep quiet," a source said.

As to whether it is confirmed that Mann was the cause of the end of 10-years plus marriage, it may be unlikely as Stefani is bent on protecting the kids.

"Gwen didn't want the news about the nanny to get out for the sake of her kids," another source told E! News. "She really wanted to protect them and not have them go through knowing this went on with their father and someone that she trusted. Over the last few weeks, she had begun telling more of her friends what had happened. [But] she is ready to move on and start the next chapter of her life."

Despite the news, Stefani and Rossdale are trying to get along for the sake of their children.

"I wish it didn't happen," the Hollaback Girl singer said in an interview with "The Tommy Show," as reported by Today. "I wish that all of this wasn't happening, but at the same time, I feel like it was part of my life journey."

Stefani states that she's using what she's going through to create music and she's happy she can use it as an outlet.

Her single "Used to Love You," which she sang at the American Music Awards 2015 is believed to be about her split with Rossdale, Daily Mail reports. Stefani's new sweetheart was highly supportive as Shelton replied to a fan tweet who called the performance "best of the show."
