The safe sex paradox: Parents would not want their teens to engage in sex at an early age, but if these teens do, parents would rather have their children practice safe sex like using condoms. The thing is, if parents are asking them to take the safer route, are they, in a way, encouraging these teens to engage in sex at an early age knowing that there is a safe way to do it like using condoms?

At any rate, it seems like young adults these days have found a more innocuous way of using these rubbers or sheepskin. They call it the #CondomChallenge and it is sweeping the Internet like wildfire with more than 9,000 retweets in Twitter, The Guardian reported.

The challenge would require participants to use a condom and fill it up with water before dropping it on top of another guy's head. The water-stuffed balloon would fall and engross the guy's head and face as it stretches without breaking, at least for a while or in some cases, thereby creating an illusion that the head was really inside the condom balloon. It also creates an amusing fishbowl effect in the process.

It would appear that the original source came from a video uploaded from Japan in the middle of November and just like most of the latest online challenge fad, more and more people have followed suit. What message, if there is any, these participants of the condom challenge is trying to point out remains unclear, though.

While there are also people calling out those engaging in the challenge saying that the antic of dropping a water balloon made out of condom to someone's head is plain stupid, there are some Twitter users who have started using #CondomChallenge to help raise safe sex awareness, according to an article from the Medical Daily.

They pointed out that if these condoms are big enough to fill an entire human head, then it can certainly fulfill its intended purpose without some guys making excuses not to use it because it won’t just fit. These videos, however, preposterous they may seem, somehow debunk the idea that condoms are too small for a guy’s penis making a case to encourage safe sex.

The condom challenge also demonstrates that condoms, apart from being stretchy, are also more resilient than most people give them credit for, wrote Bustle. So, what do you think guys? Are you willing to take on the challenge or are you one with Mr. Gump that, indeed, “stupid is as stupid does?”
