Apple 4-inch iPhone price, release date, specs & features revealed by credible insider

A highly-placed information based from a credible insider has been circulating around just recently regarding the new Apple 4-inch iPhone.
Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst from Taiwan's KGI Securities, claims that the upcoming smaller mobile device from Apple could probably come as an upgraded version of the iPhone 5S. He also revealed some of the possible specs and features of this smartphone. Kuo's previous predictions were, for the most part, accurate, and even taken as a gospel by few others.
It was previously reported that Kuo has also predicted earlier the 2016 release of the iPhone 7, which according to him will come in three sizes with each one, specifically, catering to different price tier. One of which is the entry-level iPhone with a screen size of 4 inches, and unlike those from the C series, it will no longer sport a plastic body but will have an upgraded metal chassis.
And now, the latest word from the sage on all things Apple, has it that the new 4-inch iPhone will run on an A9 processor. One of its interesting features, however, is that it will incorporate a near-field communications (NFC) chip, a technology that will allow the support of Apple Pay, according to a report from 9to5Mac.
Kuo also predicted that this new Apple's smartphone will feature the same camera specifications to the current entry-level iPhone. The chassis of the phone will be built out of a metal casing and could come in at least two to three color options.
Other changes and upgrades for the new 4-inch phone could include a "2.5D" cover glass, or possibly, a slightly curved cover, which resembles that of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, instead of the rather flat "2D" cover glass on the iPhone 5s, reports Apple Insider.
The release date of this new iPhone can be expected in early 2016, around the March-April according to the analyst. He also gave an estimate of the price which he pegged at somewhere between $400 and $500. Apple will launch this relatively cheaper version of their iPhone in order to cater to those emerging markets and consumers who are out to buy affordable phones.

"While a new model may not generate huge sales, Apple still has good reasons to launch. These are still-existing demand for 4-inch smartphones. We estimate 15-17mn 4-inch iPhones will be shipped in 2015. We estimate the new 4-inch model will account for 8-9 percent of total iPhone shipments in 2016F," Kuo said according to MacRumors.
