Despite the third installment receiving a lukewarm welcome with audiences for the third installment of the movie, Sylvester Stallone is going ahead with making "The Expendables 4." We have details involving casting Hulk Hogan, release date, and other updates.

According to Cross Map, the fourth Expendables will be the most expensive to produce. Rumors indicate that a budget of $100 million has been granted for use in the movie, the highest so far.

This exceeds the budget for "Expendables 2," which was rumored to have cost $92 million.

Several big names in the industry have been linked to the movie including Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Although Stallone has expressed interest in casting Khan, the latter had refused, preferring to stay and work in India.

"We work for respect; it's taken so many years to earn respect here; so I don't see any point," Khan stated during an interview in Mumbai in November.

Comedic action star Jackie Chan had also been rumored to join the new cast of celebrities. Although his name had been linked since the second Expendables movie, Chan expressed more interest in producing a movie together with Stallone rather than appearing in a cameo.

Kpopstarz says WWE wrestling icon Hulk Hogan has confirmed to appear in the movie. Sources indicate that the former wrestler will be working his magic as the new villain.

"We're trying to figure out a way to maybe turn me into the most evil man in the world. Y'know, Stallone gave me my first break and he's been a great friend for all these years ... We had a great conversation, talking about the possibilities," Hogan said during an interview.

Another popular WWE celebrity, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, had also expressed interest in joining the all-star cast as a heel but has been quick to state that his busy schedule might cause a delay in the production of the movie.

"I don't want to be on their team and be buddies with them," Johnson said. "I want to hunt every single one of them down and tell them to 'send your soul to heaven cause your ass is mine.'"

A report by Master Herald has pointed out that a new Expendables movie is released every two years. With the various delays, the new installment is expected to be released in 2017.

VC Post says that no directors have been linked although production of the film is still set for 2016 in China.
