- comments
"Fallout 4"'s first non-beta patch is now available for PC, and will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this week, Gamespot reports. The patch was previously released in beta form earlier this month via the Steam Community.
Bethesda Game Studios' open world action role-playing video game now has 1.2 patch notes that include bug fixes for players getting stuck in terminals and issues with the "When Freedom Calls" quest. Gamers can also expect "general memory and stability improvements" and other fixes for crashes that are triggered when players jump into the water.
The patch also includes some PC-specific adjustments such as the option to remap the number pad keys. PC Gamer reports that the patch also features a new launcher that disables mods during startup. Additionally, a "Fallout 4" Script Extender has been released, but users must note that this requires the Nexus Mod Manager to operate.

Bethesda Game Studios' "Fallout 4" is set in the year 2287, a decade after the events of "Fallout 3", released in October 2008. "Fallout 4" showcases a world 210 years after a fictional Third World War that concluded in a nuclear holocaust in the year 2077. "Fallout 4" is set in a post-apocalyptic future set in Boston, Massachusetts and parts of New England.
Unlike "Fallout 3" that runs on Gamebryo engine, "Fallout 4," which was released last month, runs on Creation Engine. The creators of "Fallout 4" wrote last month on Bethesda.net, "Given the scale and complexity of the systems at work, especially when allowing you to build your own settlements, we're happy that Fallout 4 is our most robust and solid release ever, and we'd like to thank our amazing QA staff who worked as hard as anyone to break the game so we could fix it during development."
