'New Hot Shots Golf' game exclusively coming to PS4 [trailer, gameplay, features]

According to the PlayStation blog, during the PlayStation Experience held this previous weekend, they conducted their latest iteration of their classic Hot Shots Golf franchise. This let the event-goers take the first glimpse of game's new version and experience it by themselves.

It has been previously announced that the game will be available exclusively in PlayStation 4. This gives an advantage to PlayStation 4 over the other game consoles. Of course, those who want to enjoy the game will choose PS4 over the others.

The New Hot Shots Golf has been first unveiled in September. However, there were no details revealed yet. Now, a few information has been confirmed already considering that the game was one of those games showcased in the PlayStation Experience.

The IGN already revealed that the game will be featuring more than just the expected "club-and-ball" sport. There will also be other enjoying things to do such as creating your own character, golf-cart driving and fishing.

The game will start by letting a player make his own avatar. Once done, he can start to play. The player progresses for every set of task completed. Once the player already progresses, new characters will level up. There will be an increase in driving strength and improved precision skills.

When it comes to the gameplay, the players do not have to worry a lot. Why? It is because it will be the same as the previous installments of the franchise. All the player needs are three-tap swings on the fairway and of course, the single-tap shots on the green.

The GameSpot reported that unlike the previous installment, the player won't be transported to a hole to reach his destination. Instead, he will be able to roam around New Hot Shots Golf by cart or foot. Players do not have to stay in the green field to golf all the time.

 Since the game offers free roam, then the player can just take a break to fish or even drive a golf-cart. This proves that the game will let the player do other interesting things aside from just aiming for the green.

On the other hand, there is still no announcement if there will be a feature that will allow the player to go to his next destination for his next shot.

It has been confirmed that the New Hot Shots Gold will be released next year in Japan. However, there was no confirmation with regard to the release date in North America.
