Great news for "X-Men" fans, as the new trailer for the upcoming "Apocalypse" film is set to debut much earlier than expected. Cinema Blend reports that like other big franchise films "Captain America: Civil War" and "Star Trek Beyond", the trailer for the new "X-Men" film was supposed to arrive during "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"'s debut in theaters. However, Marvel went ahead and released "Captain America: Civil War" on Jimmy Kimmel's show, and now, the trailer for "X-Men: Apocalypse" is set to debut on the Internet today.

The announcement was made yesterday via X-Men Movies' official Twitter account, which read, "Tune in tomorrow for the #XMen: #Apocalypse trailer. Be the first to watch it on https://Youtube.com/FoxMovies"
The tweet was accompanied by an image of what looks like a metal-made "X" logo cracking and burning, with a tag line that reads "Only the strong will survive." Very appropriate, given that the title of the film literally means the end of the world. The poster also includes the reminder for the release date, which is Memorial Day next year (May 18).
Entertainment Weekly reports that the final installment of this "X-Men" trilogy will feature Oscar Isaac as the titular villain who comes back to life and enlists four mutants, Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and Angel (Ben Hardy) to give the world a makeover, but not in the way Professor X would approve.
In July, the 36-year-old actor spoke to EW to talk about how franchises such as "X-Men" and "Star Wars" influenced him growing up. Isaac also stars in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" as Poe Dameron.
"I’m a fanboy, so it’s like I’m having a great time," the actor admitted. "I love Star Wars. I love X-Men, so to be able to play in those worlds and contribute to it, those things mean so much because they’re very personal."
But how does ti feel to be a newcomer in the "X-Men" MCU and a villain at that? "I grew up reading the comics and I actually collected X Factor when I was younger and that was when Apocalypse first showed up."
"I was particularly freaked out with like the second coming and the end of the world, the apocalypse, so when there was a character that embodied that, and even from Sunday school, I remember the four horsemen and all that kind of imagery that’s still to this day some of the scariest imagery I can think of," he explained.
Isaac promises that fans will enjoy the chaos that Apocalypse will cause in the upcoming "X-Men" film. He said, "That last battle is going to be pretty insane. I mean, it’s like freaking Apocalypse fighting all of the X-Men. It’s pretty cool."
"X-Men: Apocalypse" hits theaters on May 18, 2016.
