A peek at the Samsung Galaxy S7 leaked images shows that the new flagship smartphone might have interchangeable camera modules despite not having anything "new" design-wise.

According to leak specialist Onleaks, reports Forbes, who obtained blueprints of Samsung's newest and upcoming phone to create renders, a version of the phone which is Galaxy S7 Plus is reportedly bigger than its predecessors. It will reportedly be 163.4 mm high, 82 mm long and 7.82 mm thick. To compare, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ is 154.4 x 75.8 x 6.9 mm.

Despite rumors that there is nothing new design-wise for the new phone, Gadgets report that Samsung might put an interchangeable camera module for Galaxy S7 based on the patents of the company that were found at the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS) website.

According to the website, the camera at the back may be detachable and can be interchanged with different lenses to optimize picture-taking and photo quality. The outlet notes that the optical zoom module is something that Samsung has already done with their Samsung Zoom smartphone line.

Another rumor to add to the mix is that the Galaxy S7 line might have a pressure-sensitive screen that is not unlike Apple's 3D Touch feature seen on the iPhone 6S. The newest Galaxy line will reportedly have an S7 Edge version which will have a curved screen and might have an expandable storage, Wall Street Journal reports. Another feature that might be included is a USB-C port which allows for fast-charging.

Know Your Mobile reports that there will be four variants of the new line. The outlet cites Evan Blass, who has been able to predict rumors and leaks consistently, says that there will be a Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7 Edge Plus and Galaxy S7 Plus. The leaked information apparently goes with another leak saying that Samsung will be releasing two smartphones in the first quarter of 2016 and another two in the second quarter of next year.

In the rumor-roundup by CNET about the S7, it is rumored that Samsung will be using Qualcomm chips again with their homegrown Exynos chips. The website states that your region will indicate what kind of chip you would get with your smartphone. As for the price, it is rumored that the S7 will be cheaper than the S6 Edge+.

According to Slash Gear, the S7 release may have something to do with the company's patenting of the Samsung Duo Pixel. It could mean that the S7 will come with the Samsung Duo Pixel for 2016. However, it is still unconfirmed.
