Yeah, you got that right. Best Buy just came up with an insane deal offering Apple iPhone 6s for just a dollar--- might as well give them away, you say. But, as you might have guessed, there is gotta be some twist right there.

The sale on these mobile devices only comes when you lock yourself with a two-year contract with Verizon Wireless or Sprint. But, if you are looking for an Apple device to reward yourself or give away to a loved one or dear friend this holiday, then this $1 iPhone offer from Best Buy is a sweet deal, nonetheless, considering that the device would normally command a $200 price tag for the same length of contract period.

The offer from the retail chain is also available for the 16GB iPhone 6. Those who will avail of this deal will come home with a saving of $99 as the mobile device has a regular retail price of a hundred bucks for a two-year contract from the two telecommunications providers.

The Apple iPhone 6s deal is only offered for the 16GB version. The mobile device runs on an A9 chip with 64-bit desktop-class architecture. Some of the features include a 4.7-inch Retina HD display, a new 12MP iSight camera with Live Photos and 3D Touch. It is also equipped with iOS and iCloud. The seamless design of the device comes in a 7.1mm thin body.

As for the iPhone 6, it has the same 4.7-inch Retina HD display with 1334-by-750 resolution and comes in a slightly thicker body at 6.9mm. The mobile device is packed with an A8 chip with 64-bit desktop-class architecture, new 8MP iSight camera with Focus Pixels, FaceTime HD camera, touch ID fingerprint identity sensor and it also equipped with iOS and iCloud.

As per CNet, the ongoing sale, which started Friday, will run until Sunday, Dec. 20 according to a spokesperson from Best Buy. And to top it all up, the retail store will also give away a $200 gift card for buyers who will opt to trade in their iPhone 5 phones or any of the newer iPhone models upon purchase of the 6 or 6S deal.

"The retailer is offering the 16GB iPhone 6S in all four colors: silver, gold, Space Gray and Rose Gold. The iPhone 6 is available in Space Gray," the CNet article also noted. The offer stands for both online and in-store shopping mode.

Meanwhile, for those fans of Samsung smartphones, the Galaxy S6 with 32GB Memory is also offered at a $1 retail price for the same two-year contract from Sprint--- the regular price comes at $149.99. Verizon Wireless, on the other hand, offers Samsung Galaxy S6 4G LTE with 32GB Memory for the same price and lock-in period for a saving of almost $200.
