'Supergirl' Season 1 Spoilers: Hero to Battle 'Twin' Villain Bizarro in New Episode

During a recent visit to "Fatman on Batman with Kevin Smith and Marc Bernardin," "Supergirl" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed on the podcast that Bizarro will be visiting the flying heroine.

The Inquisitr describes Bizarro as traditionally an imperfect clone of the Man of Steel, possessing all of Superman's powers. However, he lacks morality or ethics and all his powers are opposite of Superman's like freeze vision instead of heat vision and so on.

Alvin Schwartz claimed ownership to creating the first Bizarro character. According to Inquisitr, Schwartz saw that the standard superheroes were two-dimensional.

"What was demanded was the full dimensional personality - a figure that carried a shadow, if you like. I was certainly inspired to some degree also by C.G. Jung's archetype of "the shadow."

There was no mention on what version of the villain will appear in the series although numerous sources point to a mirror image of Supergirl. According to the AV Club, it is unlikely that CBS will present a Bizarro Superman as this would entail revealing what Superman really looks like.

Screen Crush believes if the show's producers are introducing a Superman villain, the storyline would involve some accident involving cloning. Superman's evil counterpart recently appeared in 'Smallville' so it is not a far-fetched idea to consider.

If the male Bizarro does not make it to the series, Inquisitr reports indicate that Superman's demented duplicate might still show up in the sequel of the film 'Man of Steel.'

A report by Comic Book argues that since much of the material used on the series was based on the storyline by Sterling Gates and Jamal Igle, a female version of Bizarro is more likely to appear in future episodes.

According to the Gates-Igles Bizarrogirl story, the villain is an inhabitant of Htrae, which in turn is a planet in Bizarro World. This planet was created as an imperfect duplicate of the DC Universe.

It still depends on the show's producers on how to plan to interpret and present the villain on the series. Bleeding Cool believes Berlanti could still choose to present a spin-off based on Bizarro #1.

Sources indicate that 'Supergirl' will be beginning the new year with a battle with fellow Krytonian Non. As mentioned on the podcast, upcoming episodes will also reveal Winn's father as the villain Toyman and Adam as Cat Grant's older son.

A new episode will be aired on CBS on January 4, 2016.
