Among the anticipated film for 2016 is Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill's "Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice." The two superheroes in cape will be up against each other and their encounter will be another superhero battle that fans will be looking forward to witness.
The runtime for "Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice" is finally revealed. According to Comicbook.com, the film was rated PG-13 and will last for 151 minutes, which is longer than "Man of Steel" which only lasted for 143 minutes.
For those who wanted to understand the upcoming flick "Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice," here's a short description of the film per the report. "Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before."
Meanwhile, Matt Damon, Affleck's best friend shared his thoughts about the film. "I hear [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice] is good. I haven't seen it yet, but he's seen a rough cut and I think he's very pleased. But no, I don't know that there are any comic book characters left," he told Variety.
Damon has never worn a cape or mask. The versatile actor has never taken a role in any superhero film. With comic book adaptations among the biggest cash cow in the entertainment industry, it will not be surprising if "The Martian" star will be approached by the folks from Marvel or DC. Moreover, he has enough experience with action sequences through his work on "The Bourne Identity" franchise.
Damon and Affleck are huge fans of the Marvel superhero Daredevil, this is despite the negative reviews the latter received when he played the character following Matt Murdock. Daredevil is enjoying a growing popularity in Netflix. Following this, Damon disclosed that he is open to playing the man without fear in a big screen adaptation, but with one condition -- that is if he will be working with the right director Christopher Nolan.
CinemaBlend agreed that Damon and Nolan's tandem is logical. The director was behind the "Batman" trilogy, which enjoyed a massive success. So, if Damon is going to do a superhero movie, he will surely make sure that it is perfect.
