What happened in Ms. Universe 2015 Coronation Night was truly a worldwide disaster. Each and every country has their world turned upside down after a big mistake of announcing and giving Ms. Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez the Ms. Universe 2015 title only to get the crown taken away from her to give it to Ms. Philippines Pia Wurtzbach, who is the actual winner of the pageant, after more than two minutes of her short-lived victory. After what happened, it is not a surprise to see the Colombian President and Colombian people react to this event.

Right after Steve Harvey, the host of Miss Universe 2015, announced Ariadna Guttierez as the Ms. Universe 2015, the country of Colombia celebrated. Colombians took to different social media platforms to congratulate their country's representative. Colombia's President Juan Manuel Santos even tweeted his own congratulatory statement for their beauty queen, according to BBC.

However, the joy, victory and celebration of the whole country for their supposedly back-to-back win (as Pauline Vega, last year's Ms. Colombia, is Ms. Universe 2014) were short-lived after finding out that the host just made an announcement mistake. Once again, Colombians took to social media sites to express how they felt about the incident.

President Santos sent another message to Gutierrez saying, "For us you'll always be our Miss Universe" and "We feel very proud."

The President also gave a statement to TMZ, the US Weekly reported. According to him, he was watching the beauty pageant together with his family. They also momentarily celebrated the two-minute win of Ms. Colombia. He also said that what happened was really a letdown and that he could not believe that this has really happened in the history of the Miss Universe pageant. As a conclusion to his statement he said that Gutierrez will continue to be the Miss Universe 2015 for him as a Colombian.

According to Hollywood Life, fellow Colombian beauty Sofia Vergara also sent a sweet message to Ms. Colombia "La Reina de todos modos," which means "The Queen of all." It is a short, but sweet and consoling message to their fallen queen.

Many Colombians were outraged by what happened. #LaCoronaSeRespeta (Respect the Crown) was Colombia's top trending topic on Twitter during the Miss Universe 2015 Coronation Night.

Aside from Colombians, people all over the world reacted to what happened in different ways. Some expressed their anger. Some expressed their admiration to Ms. Colombia, Ms. Philippines and Steve Harvey. Some made a joke out of it as well.
