Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced their amicable split over five months ago. Following their public announcement, their separation was plagued with several controversies. The "BvS" star was romantically linked to their ex-nanny Christine Ouzounian and recent reports allegedly associate him with Kate Beckinsale and Sienna Miller.

Despite the not-so-good reports about the estranged couple surrounding infidelity issues, both remained amicable when it comes to co-parenting their three children Violet, 10, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3. In fact, the family will be spending Christmas together.

Parent Herald previously reported that Garner and Affleck would be spending the holidays together as a family. So, the occasion will not be any different from the past years.

"Jen and Ben are figuring out right now how they can best spend the holidays together," one source told People. The same source disclosed that the "Elektra" star wants to get along with the "Gone Girl" star for their children's sake.

New reports claimed that the family would be spending their Christmas in the mountainous side of the state. According to Daily Mail Online, the family will be heading to their favorite resort in Big Sky, Montana for Christmas and New Year.

"Christmas morning they will all be together to open presents," a source told US Weekly. "Ben and Jen want every Christmas to be a time of joy and family. They want their kids' childhood memories to still be good."

The place is surrounded with snow-covered mountains, thick glades and wood cabins that make it a long-time favorite family destination for Garner and Affleck. This occasion will be for their children's well-being and the two stars will be sleeping in separate rooms during the vacation.

It looks like Garner and Affleck are good at co-parenting their kids, but both are not thinking of rekindling their flame. "They will be together as a family," an insider told Entertainment Weekly. "They continue to put the kids first and spend time with each other for the sake of their children."

The same source revealed that, even though nothing romantic exists for Affleck and Garner, both are in a good place right now. The celebrity parents are committed to giving their best for their children.

"They are a unit. They are all about the kids and making sure they are okay. They are committed to parenting together," said the insider. Although Affleck and Garner are among the few Hollywood couples who remained friends after their split, the source added that there are still issues but they put it aside for the sake of their family. "Jen's number one priority is the kids and always has been...When they [she and Ben] spend time together, it is for the kids," added the source.
