Steam Winter Sale Discounts & Sale 2015: 'Metal Gear Solid 5', 'The Witcher 3' & More!

Everybody wants to get discounts and players are no exception. Now that Steam's Winter sale is open, expect to see favorites, as well as other unheard-of titles, be sold for cheaper than they originally are.
Shacknews reported that although everyone enjoys the Steam Summer sale, nothing beats the Winter sale which is far bigger than the former. The Steam Winter sale will be running through Jan. 4 next year and, like the Autumn sale, it will be a bit different from the previous sales.
PC World reported that Valve will be experimenting with this year's Winter Steam sale format. There are no Daily Deals, no Flash Deals and no Community Choice. Whatever is posted for sale on the first day will have the same price until the Winter Sale period ends.
This means that those who would want to check if a title is sold for the lowest possible price won't need to constantly refresh their browsers on their PCs or mobile devices.
Valve earlier asked game developers to give a single discount for their games, which will be applied throughout the entire Autumn sale. If the Autumn sale is any indication, most likely, games will be promoted on the Steam store page, rotating every 24-48 hours. Prices will remain the same, even if the game is not flashed on the screen – the front page game display is for discovery purposes only anyway.
Valve is now offering prospecting buyers trading cards, which will be giving some sort of a reason to come back every now and then. A person will get three trading cards every day he/she explores the Discovery Queue.
Although this new metagame isn't as exciting or thrilling as the earlier ones that Valve previously had, it's not that bad since these trading cards do have some value in the marketplace. It's just like you're paid with each time you visit the Steam website to check the Discovery Queue. Pretty neat.
Despite the apparent lack of excitement for this Winter Steam sale and, also, despite the loss of time-sensitive bargains, games are still sold with discounts. That's what the prospecting buyers are looking for, so it really doesn't matter.
Some deals include a 50 percent discount for “The Witcher 3,” a $40 “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain,” a $13 “Civilization V” that includes all expansions and a lot more.
A recommended tool for you to use is the Steam Database sales tracker, which will greatly help monitor your purchases, as well as help you look for discounts. Check it out.
