In October, the singer/songwriter told Entertainment Weekly, "I’m dying to put out music, I’m like dying, literally. But while I can’t, I’m just gathering ideas and just praying for the day to come soon that I can put out music."

"It’s fun to explore different art mediums and right now my [music] career is kind of on hold," she admitted. "I’m finding other ways to express myself and have outlets and connect with my fans. I’m [also] kind of open to all of it."

"Creatively, my brain’s been exploding. I’ve been painting and redecorating and reupholstering – I’m all over the place and literally creatively exploding all over my life," the platinum-selling artist said. "Some of it’s horrible, but some of it’s good. I think the most important thing when you’re an artist is you can’t ever let your artistic creative fire be stifled. You have to get it out somehow."

Fans would remember that Kesha also appeared on The CW's "Jane the Virgin" back in October, where she guest starred as Jane's hostile singer and neighbor, Annabelle.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail is reporting that despite Kesha's hiatus due to her pending lawsuit against producer Dr. Luke, which prohibits her from releasing new music outside of her Sony contract, the record label points out via court documents that Kesha's peers Adele, Justin Timberlake, and D'Angelo took long career breaks and still garnered massive success upon resuming their musical endeavors.

TMZ reports that Sony invested over $11 million to further Kesha's career and that the artist had earned $3 million in royalties alone. Sony also believes that her fans and the public aren't forgetting about Kesha anytime soon, with her guest stints on "Jane the Virgin" and "Jem and the Holograms". As for new music, fans will have to watch out for when Kesha can officially release any new material.
