Professional footballer Eden Hazard has sparked rumor of a Manchester United transfer. This came as a surprise to the fans after Hazard decided to leave his current team, Chelsea, this coming summer, as reported by the Daily Star.
It is reported that there is another team showing interest in signing Hazard. The people from Paris Saint-Germain have high hopes that Hazard will eventually sign with them in the summer. However, they are into a tough competition with Spain's Real Madrid and England's Manchester United. The German team Bayern Munich would also want to get the Belgian player.
The report started when Hazard allegedly informed his close friends that he has decided this will be his last season with Chelsea. The source added that he will be talking with other teams that can provide him the best deal possible. However, Paris Saint-Germain, which is a very rich franchise, is very confident that the playmaker will wear their uniform next season, Daily Mail reported.
However, Chelsea is not giving up on Hazard as they hope that their new coach Didier Drogba will talk to the attacking midfielder to convince him to stay with the team.
Meanwhile, Manchester United is said to be plotting an amazing £65m to get Hazard from Chelsea. Manchester United was supposed to sign Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale; however, it did not materialize and now they are hoping to get the playmaker from Belgium.
"The club has to be realistic and realise that signing Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo remains a long shot, which means alternative targets come into the equation," an insider from Manchester United said. "Eden Hazard is certainly one of those and the type of player United need if they want to start winning trophies again."
According to Daily Star, the Glazers, who own Mancher's football premier team, has given their executives the go signal to do whatever they can to sign Hazard. It is reported that they are ready to give Hazard £250,000-a-week if he decides to play with them.
The United is really desperate to get marquee players that will help them get back to their winning form. Although Hazard has not been in his best form this season, he is still one of the best players in the football world today and Manchester United big bosses think he is perfect for their team.
The 25-year-old footballer will decide in the near future as to where he will bring his talent after formally leaving Chelsea.
