Kevin Hart is most famous for his work as a comedian, but the actor is also a dedicated fitness buff. As a matter of fact, he has partnered with sports brand Nike to promote fitness across the United States.
The "Get Hard" star has been taking part in Nike's 5k run since June 2015 along with other running enthusiasts. The actor confessed he's not a runner at all but, when he participated in the program, he found the workout to be relaxing. It also helped clear his mind, per Men's Fitness.
Now more committed to the physical activity, Hart has officially partnered with Nike. "I think the partnership with Nike is so amazing because through the Nike running app, I'll be able at one point to coincide with everybody that I've run with through a chat, through a group, so regardless of where we are, we can still run together—that's the overall goal," he said in the Men's Fitness interview.
Kevin Hart's Fitness Routine
To keep his strength and stamina during runs, Hart has adopted a very rigid workout that involves push-ups, heavy rope slams, hanging crunches and dumbbell shoulder fly, per Stack. As seen in this special video created by Nike Training below, Hart's workout is no laughing matter.
The actor's training begins at 5:30 a.m. and he adopts a "no excuses, no days off" principle for it and declares, "Training for life is living for life," according to D'Marge.
There's another upside to his training as it helps him look and feel better about himself. "People are paying money to see me. If I'm nowhere near the top of my game, I'm cheating those who support me the most," he added, per Details.
Kevin Hart's Nike Training Shoes and Workout Wear
Part of the support the actor receives from Nike is in providing him with the Zoom Speed Trainer 3, which he uses at the training gym. The footwear is designed with breathable material but built with durability and protection in mind. It has cushioning, circular knit mesh and synthetic bands for support, as well as a tough outsole that provides good traction. His workout wear includes Nike's Ultimate Dry Training Shirt, Flex-Repel Training Shorts and Pro Hypercool Max Training Tights.
According to Essence, the company and the actor have also collaborated with the release of Hart's own sneakers line, the Hustle Hart cross-trainers. It will be at the store shelves by April.
"I wanna inspire people, motivate people to become the best versions of themselves possible through physical fitness," said Hart in the report.
