Celebrity Weight Loss: Mariah Carey Flaunts Sexy Figure at the UNICEF Ball — What's Her Secret?

It has been an open secret that Mariah Carey has been at a constant battle when it comes to her weight. But, if her recent sighting from the UNICEF Ball is any indication, then it seems like the 45-year-old American singer and songwriter is getting the upper hand lately.

Mariah Carey performed some of her most well-loved single classics, such as "Always Be My Baby" and "Hero," at the sixth UNICEF Ball held every two years. She dazzled in her blue and black gown revealing her slimmer figure at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California last Jan. 12, 2016.

"Mariah Carey's before and after photos are incredible! Proving the weight critics and haters wrong, Carey showed off her amazing weight loss at the UNICEF Ball last night," wrote Hollywood Take. "Carey is back in shape and finally feeling confident again. And she chose to celebrate in a cleavage-baring Louis Vuitton gown with silver embellishments and a black, leather bracelet at the bodice."

Carey was regarded as one of the sexiest stars back in the 90s, but have gained weight and largely to blame was her pregnancy to her twins and past relationship breakup. Her weight has fluctuated since then losing 70 pounds after giving birth, then gaining weight anew.

She recently lost about 45 pounds and the singer credited her portion-controlled diet and low-impact water workouts for it, says Celebrity Health and Fitness.

"Since having the babies, I realized that 90 percent of losing weight is my diet," she said. "The whole point of this is not just like, 'Look at me and my weight loss, I'm fantastic.' It's really about health."

Another positive development in her life that seems to have a great impact on her weight is her happy relationship with billionaire boyfriend James Packer. The pair was reported to have been dating for several months already and are now very much into each other.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Carey and Packer have been enjoying each other's company lately with the two spending 56 days together on a holiday vacation. The two were first spotted as a couple while holding hands in the island of Capri in Italy. Mariah's twins, Moroccan and Monroe, were also sighted along with them.

When asked about her relationship with Packer, the singer said, "he's just an incredible guy. He really is a good person, and that's hard to find."
