'Star Fox Zero' Release Date & Trailer: Gameplay Delayed by 3 Months
- comments
It looks like "Star Fox Zero" fans would have to wait yet again before they could get their hands on one of Nintendo's most popular shooting game.
The official release date published in the Nintendo website for the video game is April 22, 2016. And, just last year, reports said that it would hit the stores sometime in November before it was confirmed for a delay as developers were also reported to still working on it to make sure everything runs smoothly upon its actual release.
This time around, reports said that it could be another waiting game that could last for another three months after the supposed April 22 release. The basis of the rumors came from a listing by the French retailer Micromania stating that "Star Fox Zero" will have a July 15 release date.
And, apart from the fact that the given date falls on a Friday, which is a usual day of video game release in Europe, the retailer's listing could be accurate as Micromania has a good reputation in terms of leak details in the past.
"While no other retailer is listing the game with this release date, there's a decent chance that Star Fox Zero had indeed been delayed again, as the retailer has correctly leaked a few things in the past like the PlayStation 3 Slim console and, more recently, the White Xbox One and the Sunset Overdrive Xbox One bundle," wrote WCCF Tech.
But, WCCF Tech was also quick to caution its readers to take the listing with a grain of salt as no official word has come out from Nintendo as of this writing.
Meanwhile, for all the Star Fox fans out there who can't get enough of their favorite character, Attack of the Fanboy reports about a special Star Fox Zero statue, which is now available for pre-order at GameStop.
According to the product details, "the Limited Edition Fox McCloud Stone Figure brings the StarFox Universe to life! Fans will recognize Fox McCloud featured in his iconic flight suit, ready for battle."
"This 8-inch figure is made from resin stone and premium hand painted, making each figure beautifully detailed." The figure is limited edition as there are only 5,000 of which that has been created. The item include is also officially licensed. The item is priced at $79.99 with a release date on Feb. 9, 2016. You can also check out the trailer for the upcoming video game below.
