There was a big reunion among the "High School Musical" stars and almost all of them were present in the event. Unfortunately, one of their biggest stars did not make it.

The teen romantic-musical television film "High School Musical" debuted on Jan. 20, 2006. It has been 10 years since the popular film premiered, which spurred two sequels "High School Musical 2" and "High School Musical 3: Senior Year."

In honor of the Disney Channel movie's 10th Anniversary, "High School Musical" stars Vanessa Hudgens, 27, Ashley Tisdale, 30, Lucas Grabeel, 31, Corbin Bleu, 26 and Monique Coleman, 35, reunited in a Los Angeles high school gym, E! Online reported.

The reunion of the stars in the teen cult series was filled with reminiscence and fun as shown in the photos posted by Grabeel. Notably missing at the reunion was Zac Efron, 28, who played the main character Troy, Gabriella's (Hudgens) love interest.

"Seeing the cast of High School Musical back together again reaffirms what made it special 10 years ago," said Gary Marsh, president of Disney Channels Worldwide, in a report from Variety. "Ten years later, the movie continues to delight audiences around the globe, not just for its memorable song and dance numbers, but for its universal themes that continue to resonate with fans everywhere."

The group taped segments that will be aired during a special telecast of "High School Musical" on Jan. 20 at 8 p.m. on the Disney Channel. For those who are missing Efron, do not worry, the "17 Again" star will appear in a separate pre-taped message.

In a separate report from E! Online, last year, when Efron promoted his film "We Are Your Friends," he disclosed that it reminded him of his "High School Musical" years. "Around the time High School Musical started I lived, like for four years, in the valley," he said. "We shot all around the house that we used to bum around at. We even filmed at some of my favorite restaurants. Like I knew every location, every place we go it'd be reminiscent of [my] 15 to 17-year-old self."

Efron's absence in the reunion did not do him good. Many were disappointed, hurt and angry that he didn't show up. According to BuzzFeed, the "That Awkward Moment" star made several enemies for missing the "High School Musical" reunion.

Many were wondering what happened to their "All for one, one for all" slogan. Some made fun of their songs "Gotta Go My Own Way" and "Breaking Free" suggesting that the actor is breaking free and that he's "gotta go his own way."
