The '90s to the early aughts was a plethora of glitter and glam when it came to beauty fashion, and to be honest, some of us are just waiting for those trends to come back so we can sport them again and relive the glory days. Here are some trends that did not go out of style back in the '90s to the early 2000s.

1. Chunky highlights. The moment you saw Kelly Clarkson get crowned as the first ever American Idol, you knew you wanted 10 different shades of highlights on your hair. While she was the mane (get it?) inspiration for chunky highlights, some other pop stars also sported such colorful, ironed out locks. In fact, Buzzfeed cites Jessica Simpson, Kelly Rowland, Liz from Atomic Kitten, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera as just a few celebs who donned that look at one point or another. Not even queen Beyonce was immune to the chunky highlights look.

2. Flat ironed hair. That was the secret to a thinner face with concealed baby-fat laden cheeks. In fact, so many pop stars back in the day sported this look, including pop/punk princess Avril Lavigne, who may have even started the trend. Bustle reports that Lavigne and the late singer Aaliyah led the flat iron revolution with their straight, natural-looking locks.

3. Blue or silver eye shadow. Thanks to the millennium, everyone sported blue and silver eyeshadow. Latina reports that stars such as Cameron Diaz and Christina Aguilera sported this makeup trend. It seems that the trend is coming back in subtler ways, with celebs such as Jennifer Lawrence, Taylor Swift, Olivia Wilde, and Rita Ora sporting the look.

4. Thinner eyebrows. During the past 15 years, women moved from super razor thin eyebrows to thicker, more natural looking but trimmed archs. Back in the 90s, however, brow-spiration came in the form of Black Eyed Peas' Fergie, whose perfect archs were a thing. Other celebs who sported the look? Gwen Stefani, Drew Barrymore, Tori Spelling, Gwyneth Paltrow, Courtney Cox, Victoria Beckham, Mariah Carey, and even Megan Fox. See the full list over at Buzzfeed.

5. Glossy brown lipstick. Stars like Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey sported this look back in the day, and according to Allure, it's a beauty trend that's still wearable today. Allure credits the comeback to none other than Kylie Jenner herself, whose lines of lip products have been garnering both praise and criticism on the Internet.

Bonus beauty trend: Pink (or any other bright colored) hair. Good Housekeeping reports that bright, shocking pink hair is in the past and is making a comeback in more subtle ways. Now, pink hair comes in the form of pink and other pastels.
