'Star Wars: Episode 8' Trailer & Plot: Poe Dameron Origin Story Revealed, Awesome Fan Theory Here!

One of the best features about "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens" is the mix of both original characters and new, next generation franchise actors. Following the massive release of the major blockbuster, it can be said that one of these new characters has begun to gather a cult-like following across the internet, and that character is none other than Poe Dameron.
Radio Times reports that Dameron, who is played by actor Oscar Issac, has picked up the internet nickname "The Internet's Boyfriend." Many fans are stating that he has the looks, charisma, humor and personality of a young Han Solo.
Not much about Poe's past and persona were revealed in 'The Force Awakens' but one new fan theory offers a shocking twist. According to the theory started by a Reedit user named MichaelSilverV, one theory about Poe that might have fans of the character up in arms, that he is actually a brainwashed double agent for the First Order. He presents that the daring resistance fighter was tortured by the film's villain Kylo Ren after being captured during the first scene. It is here where Poe shows his weakness to Kylo's mind probes.
The theory continues stating that after the T.I.E fighter which Poe and Finn were in crashed, Poe was not seen anywhere near the crash site because he was picked up by First Order Troops and escorted off planet and was allowed to return to the Resistance base on D'Qar.
To explain why Poe was allowed to participate on the attack on both Maz Kanata's temple and the Star Killer base is simple. Kylo Ren is only interested in finding Luke and not the First Order's missions, and he programmed Poe, most likely without his knowledge, to find the last Jedi.
While all this does seem plausible enough, according to Movie Plot the time Poe does spend between crashing on Jakku and showing up at the Resistance base on D'Qar was actually covered in the novelization of "Force Awakens." In the book, Poe's escape from Jakku had something to do with a scavenger, a speeder, and some sort of weird pod racing reference. Considering that the book is considered cannon by LucasFilm, it seems that this fan theory is false.
While so far, fans do not know much else about the Resistance's best pilot, it's pretty clear that the audience wants to see more of the pilot in further installments or perhaps his own solo movie somewhere in the future.
