NetherRealm is taking their Mortal Kombat X online play to the next level. They are going to give the game's online component a major overhaul. If you happened to play Mortal Kombat X online play for at least an hour, then you could also help in making this game a huge success. How? Starting Jan. 19 of January 2016, you can sign up to participate in the forthcoming beta test for the new online netcode of Mortal Kombat X.

Mortal Kombat X has been a successful game. However, there are some downsides to the game. NetherRealm aims to give the players a better game experience. Thus, the company decided to listen to the players' voice and improve the game's netcode. The beta test is designed in order to check on the functionality of the game.

Gamezone reported that the company is planning to move to a new model that is similar to GGPO when it comes to function. According to Tyler Lansdown, the community manager, the team is moving towards the kind of model that can actually maintain the feel of an offline game and maintain a consistent input response better while playing it online.

According to Cinema Blend, both Mortal Kombat 9 and Mortal Kombat X have had problems with its laggy and poor input response timing online gameplay. Yes, these problems might have not resulted to fans boycotting the game or making the game dull and boring. However, it managed to ruin the online quality of the game. As a part of their move to level up, they are now doing their best to address this problem and give a better online experience to the gamers.

Aside from this problem, NetherRealm is also planning to bring in more bug fixes to make the game close to perfection, if not completely perfect.

VG 24/7 reported that there will only be four characters -namely Jackie Briggs, Johnny Cage, Scorpion and Sub-zero - that will be available at the beginning of the test beta. However, gamers should look forward as more characters are about to be revealed and introduced as the beta progresses.

Just earlier, the team has been teasing four more characters. They have already rolled out the gameplay of Bo' Rai Cho, Leatherace, Triborg and the Xenomorph from Alien, who are all set to come to the game in the Kombat Pack 2.

With this all brand new netcode and improvement about to come to Mortal Kombat X, it won't be a surprise if it will get a lot of attention and recognition once its final version is released.
