A morbidly obese man successfully lost more than half of his weight within just 15 months. 

Darren Thomas, a 43-year-old metal detectorist from Ton Pentre, Rhonda, was obese until he joined his local Slimming World group. Just like other overweight people, losing weight has not been easy for him at first. He tried a lot of diet tips and exercise routines just to shed some pounds. However, nothing works great for him.

According to Mirror, he enrolled together with his wife even when his wife did not have to lose weight. His wife supported him until the very end and he thinks that his wife has been a very big part in his journey to lose weight. Thomas said that losing 15 stones within just 15 months has been possible because his wife is within his side. He was 28-stoned before. Now, he is only more or less 13-stoned.

Losing weight did not just help him look better. He also managed to feel better. He revealed that he was taking tablets as maintenance for his high blood pressure before. Now, he feels 100 percent fine. He no longer needs those maintenance tablets as he is perfectly healthy now.

Thomas managed to lose 15 stones in 15 months in the most natural way. He did not stop eating his favorites. Instead, he just changed the way he prepares them. He reduced his intake of fatty meat, cream, bread and the likes. However, if he feels like eating, then he does not back down as long as he only consumes a small portion of it.

Of course, aside from changing the way he prepares his meal, he also makes sure to exercise every day. This makes sense as diet is useless without exercise, according to Google News.
