Samsung Galaxy S7 Taking Inspiration From This Smartphone? Release Date, Specs, Features & Price Rumors

Great news for Samsung fans, specs of the upcoming Galaxy S7 have been leaked, as per PC Mag.
While users still need to wait for the official unveiling of the highly anticipated device next month at the Mobile World Congress, Digital Spy reports that the Galaxy S7 will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor, a 5.1" display, 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB internal storage. It will also feature a 16-megapixel camera. In fact, it seems that Samsung is getting inspiration from one of its own by including a stylish Note Edge-type feature on the Galaxy S7.
According to Phone Arena, Samsung may be looking into merging their high-end smartphone lines with their cheaper alternatives with the S7. Last year, reports claimed that the brand is going to release Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7 Plus, and Galaxy S7 edge Plus.
More interestingly, Phone Arena also reports that a new patent from Samsung shows a smartphone case that makes the Galaxy S7 a lot like the Galaxy Note Edge with the screen spilling over to the right side of the phone and a stylus just like the one used by Galaxy Note. This design patent seemingly implies that the digitizer in the Galaxy S7 is one that has the capacity to make a phone that isn't Galaxy Note, work with Samsung's S pen.
Another thing to get excited about? More removable space. Inquisitr reports that the Galaxy S7 may finally have the microSD card slot for more storage. The leaked information also reveals that the smartphone will feature something very important to users: better and longer battery life.
"As the S6 and S6 Edge represented progress, the S7 will have improvements both in picture quality, performance and other some new features. The key point is can consumers enjoy content with enhanced viewing quality and boosted processing speed," The Korea Times reports, as per Tech Radar.
All these improvements are seemingly addressing the fact that Samsung has been on the losing end of smartphone sales. Information Week reports that CEO J.K. Shin has been replaced due to the underwhelming sales.
"While Samsung is still the worldwide leader, the company has lost market share over the last year due to poor sales of its flagship smartphones. That’s why today J.K. Shin is out and Dongjin Koh is in as the company’s new chief of mobile," said the report. With Dongjin Koh's entrance also comes the debut of the S7, which will hopefully bring back both Samsung and non-Samsung users alike. Fans will have to wait for the Mobile World Congress this Feb. 22 to 25.
