Tom Holland has been spotted on the set of "Captain America: Civil War," further confirming that Spiderman will be making an appearance in the movie.
Avengers director and Marvel co-president Louis D'Esposito posted the following image on Twitter which shows him beside the 19-year-old actor. Marvel fans believe the shot was taken inside the Avengers' Quinjet.

In the image, Holland's eye appears roughed up which has led some to speculate that he may be seeing a lot of action in the movie. This recent tweet provides proof that Spidey will be having an impact on how 'Civil War' turns out.
So why is Holland not on any of the promotional material?
Inquisitr reports that the producers wanted to maximize the element of surprise.
Earlier this month, Collider conducted an interview with the Russo brothers. One of the questions posed was regarding the absence of Spidey in the promotional materials.
"The reason why we still won't talk about [the costume] is that Marvel and Sony still have to work out what uses they have for the character, on a promotional level, on a commercial level. There's still complications as far as that goes that involves business deals," Anthony Russo explained during the interview.
According to Cinema Blend, Marvel will still have creative control over Spiderman's character for cameos on Avenger films while solo movies will be under the discretion of Sony. Both Marvel and Sony are still negotiating on how to present Spidey in a way that's consistent to both the Spiderman reboot and his much-anticipated appearance on the Avengers movie.
Viewers can expect Holland's portrayal of Spiderman to be significantly different to that of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's. According to Inquisitr's report, the Russo brothers will be showing more of Parker's goofier side in the movie while keeping the setting modern.
The modern treatment can also be said of the other Avengers' costumes which utilize trendy military gear instead of the brightly-colored clothing featured in the comics.
'Spider-Man' will be released on July 7, 2017, while 'Captain America: Civil War' will hit cinemas on May 6, 2016. Entertainment Weekly says the new release date is three weeks earlier than expected.
"Jumanji," another Sony reboot, will take the high-school superhero's slot on July 28. The fantasy adventure movie was initially slated for release during the 2016 Christmas holidays.
