Gina Rodriguez is promoting "Movement Mondays" to encourage Latinos to support Latino actors.

USA Today reported that the "Jane the Virgin" star is not just giving her piece of thought about diversity in Hollywood. She wants to make a difference by starting a movement that encourages everyone to support "all the various Latino cultures in the media."

In a post, the Puerto Rican-American star stated that there are 55 million Latinos in the USA with different backgrounds. The actress stressed that unity among Latinos can make a huge difference at the box office or TV show. She believes that, if Latino projects do well, then more Latinos will have the opportunity to lead in blockbuster films or TV shows.

The 2015 "Teen Choice Awards" host is encouraging Latinos to support each other. The Latina actress thinks that, without public support, Latino actors will not get the exposure and attention they deserve despite their exceptional performances.

"Right now there isn't one Latino that can Greenlight a movie. That means no studio will put their money behind a Latino face as a lead of a movie because they don't believe we can make their money back," Rodriguez wrote.

"I am told time and time again 'Latinos dont watch Latino Movies. Latinos don't support each other' and sadly that is true. I'm not saying go and see a movie you don't like to blind support, im saying if you want to see us represented on film and tv, if you want to see Latinos nominated for Oscars, we NEED to support one another," the actress added. "The industry sees money, the excuse can't be racism. We can make a difference in a very powerful way if we unite our support as one Latino community."

Part of Rodriguez "Movement Mondays" is promoting a Latin performer every Monday. On Monday, the actress highlighted the "X-Men: Apocalypse" star Oscar Isaac, BuzzFeed has learned.

"Oscar Isaac, in my opinion had an Oscar worthy performance in this film. Let's start making noise with where it matters most, where we put our dollars," she wrote. Rodriguez is encouraging everyone to support the Guatemalan-American actor's films.

The "Sleeping with the Fishes" star added that everyone should use their numbers and powerful voices to express their support on each other to make a box office hit. She added that doing so might be among the solutions to see more Latino movies worthy of Oscar contention in the coming years.

Rodriguez ended her post encouraging everyone to "Pick any Latino currently working we can support!"
